The Zortrax M300 Dual utilizes dual extrusion LPD Plus technology to print simultaneously with separate support and base filaments. The support filaments are soluble in water so that the support structures can be removed by rinsing. This allows the M300 Dual to print relatively large models with complicated internal geometries. Single-extrusion mode is also available, where the printer works like a standard M300 Plus machine. For the more time-consuming large format printing, the M300 Dual has the Blackout Response System. When a power failure is detected, the printer automatically saves the position of the print head to continue at the same location when power is restored. Professional users can choose between perforated, glass based or other compatible building platforms, as they can all be automatically calibrated thanks to a capacitive distance sensor. The M300 Dual prints with a range of special filaments. Third-party alternatives are also fully supported in dual and single extrusion mode.
